The Major Accounts Team is responsible for dealing with commercial, industrial or government customers with an average annual consumption greater than one megawatt (8,760,000 kWh). These customers present unique technical challenges to the company and the electrical grid that serves all of our customers.
Our relationship with our large customers promotes the stability of our electrical grid and our ability to maintain service. In the recent past, when the demand on the power grid of the Western United States was extreme, our Major Accounts team worked with our large customers to reduce their demand for power. They came through for us, helping us ensure that the people in Clark County did not experience the rolling blackouts that were endemic in California.
